Who we are

Just AI is a media network dedicated to advancing responsible AI principles, enhancing digital literacy, and fostering human flourishing. We strive to be a trusted resource for individuals and businesses alike.

Our mission is to support responsible AI practices, empower digital literacy, and promote a future where technology benefits all. We achieve this through high-quality educational content, including a weekly newsletter, podcasts, and video updates, which break down complex AI topics for broad audiences.

We also partner with organizations to implement responsible AI principles, provide strategic guidance on ethical technology adoption, and advocate for policies that protect civil liberties and foster human-centered innovation. Through these efforts, we’re building a foundation for a digital future that prioritizes trust, accessibility, and well-being.

About our founder

Paige Lord has over a decade of experience in technology and is deeply committed to building AI that advances human flourishing. During her time at Microsoft, Paige served as a champion for responsible AI within the consulting services division, actively participating in ethical evaluations of AI use cases.

Her passion for ethical AI led her to Harvard, where she earned a master’s degree in legal studies, with a thesis focused on the implications of law enforcement’s use of facial recognition technology on civil liberties.

She holds certifications from the Center for AI and Digital Policy, the Sorbonne AI & Equality initiative and PROSCI, among others, and has participated in events around the world contributing to thought leadership on responsible and ethical AI, and how to implement systems that promote both human flourishing and innovation.

In addition to running Just AI Media, Paige currently holds a role at GitHub, a Microsoft company, where she continues her dedication to promoting responsible AI practices across the tech industry.

Our guiding responsible AI principles

Transparency

When we publish content, we do so with transparency. If there’s a conflict of interest or sponsored ads, you’ll know about it.

Fairness

We make our content accessible to everyone so we can further the mission of increasing digital and AI literacy. That means we don’t charge individuals for access to our published resources.

Accountability

When we make a mistake, we take responsibility and issue a correction so that we don’t add to the growing mass of mis and disinformation.

Safety

We don’t sensationalize anything for views and likes. We check content for accuracy so that we don’t participate in the spread of mis and disinformation. We vet sponsors for product safety.

Privacy

We don’t sell your information. That would be rude.

Our business model

You might be wondering - how do we fund this endeavor?

Here’s what we do to make money:

  1. Voluntary subscribers - a small, mighty, generous group of individuals have opted to be voluntary subscribers to the Just AI newsletter. Their contribution is their decision (we didn’t ask them for support) and they can cancel at any time.

  2. Speaking engagements & consultations - our founder, Paige, participates in speaking engagements and offers consultations for businesses looking to implement AI responsibly. The funds from these endeavors are used to cover our business operations. If you’re interested in having Paige speak at your event, you can learn more here.

  3. Sponsorships on the Podcast - we take sponsorships on the Just AI podcast. Why? Because podcasts offer users a unique level of control over advertisements - you can skip the ads if you want. Sponsorships help us fund the significant cost of hiring a (human) editor for our podcast episodes. We also have a thorough vetting process for sponsors, and we’re involved in each step of the process to ensure quality.

Here’s what we don’t do to make money:

  1. Charge readers & followers - we don’t charge individuals for access to our newsletter, podcast or social media content. Ever.

  2. Participate in sponsored TikTok and Instagram content - we find that the nature of the algorithms on these platforms makes it hard to share sponsored content and also maintain trust with followers. We prefer your trust.

  3. Put things behind a paywall - we don’t ask individuals to pay to get special content. This would be in opposition to our goal to increase digital inclusion and AI/Responsible AI literacy.
